Dr Gerfried Beyl studied medicine in Germany and subsequently specialized in anesthesiology at the University Hospital of Fribourg. In 1999, he expanded his medical expertise by participating in the postgraduate course “biomedical engineering” for physicians and engineers at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne. From 2001-2008 he was senior physician, and from 2008 to 2022 senior physician anesthesia at the Cantonal Hospital Baselland (Bruderholz), while at the same time running a practice for pain therapy at the hospital.
Since 2020, he has been working in the pain center at the Kunstmuseum Basel.
